We met online in the fall of 2019, while Danny was in business school and Emily in graduate school. Emily arrived 15 minutes late for the first date, and Danny - perhaps surprisingly - waited. At Geronimos, and over a couple of margaritas, we realized that we had a lot in common and Emily asked for another date the following night. We had met each other's families by the new year, and managed to spend some time together through the lockdown of early 2020.

Following twelve months of long distance while Danny finished med school in Miami and Emily finished graduate school in Connecticut, we moved to Fort Lauderdale for Danny's intern year and Emily's first OT job. We brought Zoe home that spring, and moved to Houston that summer.

Danny finally proposed on the beach in Wells, Maine on July 16, 2024. After five years, two match processes, and dozens of trips across the US, Europe, and South America, we cannot wait to return to Maine in 2026 to celebrate our wedding with you all.
